Dinner doesn’t have to take for ever to cook–if you keep it simple. Recipes with only 5 Ingredients can get dinner done in a flash.
Feeding your family after a crazy work day can seem like an Olympic event. But, it doesn’t have to be. Delicious dinners don’t have to involve a ton of ingredients.
In fact, some of my all time favorites are less than 5 ingredients. Truthfully, my whole family prefers 5 ingredient meals over most of the fussy fancy meals that take all day to make.
Remember: it’s dinner. Your goal isn’t culinary perfection. Your goal is to avoid the drive-thru or ordering pizza for the bajillionth time. These 5 Ingredient Meals for Families will have you in and out of the kitchen without all the drama!

Preserved Meyer Lemon Spatchcock Chicken
This is a super easy meal that looks like it will take you all day. That’s what’s so brilliant about it.
If you haven’t spatchcocked (butterflied) a chicken, then you HAVE to try this out! It’s like the best shortcut ever if you are a lover of crispy chicken skin.
Spatchcocking is just cutting out the backbone of the chicken and flattening it down so that the chicken cooks super quick.
Added bonus: the skin of the entire chicken gets crispy! Love it.

5 Ingredient Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
No list of 5 ingredient meals is complete without a nod to the mother of all time savers: the crockpot. Gotta love a slow cooker, amiright? Well, no….I guess many of you have had some pretty sad crockpot dishes where everything is bland or mushy. Ick. Forget that—this 5 ingredient meal will totally vindicate the crockpot!
Chicken thighs, white wine, tomatoes & a few other veggies. Heaven. I’m telling you, your kids will love this one, too!
Again, my hubs had zero problems dumping all these ingredients into a machine and turning it on. If you’re trying to figure out how to get your partner to help you out in the kitchen a few nights a week, then maybe it’s time to make a plan!
